AMAZING: Place, space, community and location!

This property feels like something magical from the wardrobe to Narnia! I am SO CLOSE to the innumerable things historical Albany has to offer (including being within EASY walking distance of AMC.) My neighbors in this quiet, you'd-never-know-it's-there, cul-de-sac are also warm and helpful. (Most of them also healthcare workers or law enforcement.) But, the BEST part of my stay here, by far, is the attentiveness and hospitality of the landlord, Margie. I felt cared about as if I were one of her own family. Of more significance: every single one of my house-mates during my time at Mercer St. felt exactly the same way. Living here has been like living under the care of a guardian angel.

Absolute 5-star experience! Margie is a true 'Superhost' in every sense of the word. She went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed for a perfect stay. From the seamless check-in to the extra amenities, every detail was handled with care. Margie was one text or phone call away. Although there was almost nothing to call her about except when I locked myself out, if she couldn't come she would send someone right away. I keep saying that I like Albany but I totally understand it's because of the place where I stayed. When I mentioned to her that my bed was a little too firm for my back, the same day she took care of it. When I needed an air fryer, she made sure I got it the next day. I don't know if i should mention that she even sent food for us during holidays. I definitely will be back!

I had a wonderful stay here and truly felt at home. After long workdays, it was such a relief to come back to a clean, quiet, and comfortable space. The bedroom was spacious and thoughtfully set up. The home itself is well maintained and had everything I needed for my stay, from a fully equipped kitchen to on-site laundry. I really appreciated how easy it was to settle in without having to buy or bring extra items. The neighbourhood felt safe and peaceful, which made a big difference for me. The hosts (Margie & her husband) were kind, responsive, and respectful of privacy, which I valued a lot. Any questions I had were answered quickly, and the whole stay felt smooth and stress-free. The location was also very convenient for getting around Albany, and the hospital was only 5 minutes away. Overall, this was a great experience and Id absolutely stay here again. Id highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, reliable, and welcoming home away from home in Albany.
