Worst experience renting

I stayed at this property as a furnished renter. Midway through my stay, the parking arrangement changed and I was told I would need to pay to park in the driveway or park across the street, which was not something I expected when I initially booked. At move-out, I was charged for a number of post–stay items that I believed to be routine turnover and landlord maintenance rather than tenant-caused damage. These included additional cleaning charges on top of an existing cleaning fee, laundry, removal of items, treatment of an active wasp nest, and cleaning supplies used during turnover. I did not agree with the summary provided and disputed the charges. Future renters may want to ensure that parking terms, move-out expectations, and how cleaning fees and security deposits are handled are clearly outlined in writing before booking.

Jayden signed the Cozy Cottage policies which included the designation of parking and the no storage in my garage policy at the time she signed her lease. The Cozy Cottage follows standard move out, cleaning and security deposits per the state of Florida guidelines. Jadyn began parking in my driveway rather than adjacent to my driveway in her designated spot where she was previously parking when she got a new Land Rover. I asked her multiple times to return to her designated spot but she continued parking in my driveway. I gave her the option to return to her free spot or pay a daily rate to park in my driveway. She returned to her free spot. Jadyn began storing items inside my garage. I asked her to remove them and she left them. She began storing more items in my garage. I gave her the option to remove them or pay a daily storage rate. She opted to remove them. Jadyn left large furniture, personal belongings and garbage inside and outside the apartment at the time she moved out. New furnishings had to be discarded due to the extensive damage. She damaged plumbing, appliances and furniture. Items belonging to the Cozy Cottage were missing. A desk she left behind had a wasps nest that required an exterminator. The apartment required well beyond a normal cleaning. Jadyn was provided a well documented list of the expenses she incurred along with photographs showing the damages she caused.
