Morton House (across the street at Duncan Park) was built in 1810 by entrepreneur William "Lord" Morton, owned by abolitionist Cassius Clay (from 1838-1850), and Lexington mayor Henry T. Du...
Outstanding Home
I thoroughly enjoyed my time staying at this home. The location is great. I was within 15 minutes of everything that I needed (University of Kentucky, shopping, amenities, etc.) The home was neat, clean and organized. The homeowners did a fantastic job of remodeling and refurbishing the home to make it look very modern as while maintaining its historic charm. The owners were very responsive and caring. During a snowstorm in January 2026, they were extremely helpful with shoveling snow, and providing general guidance as they were very familiar with the Kentucky weather. The neighbors were very respectful and helpful. The surrounding area is very peaceful and quiet. This was never an issue for me. Parking was always available for me either in front (street parking) or behind the house. I would enjoy staying again! I highly recommend.
