Great house and landlord

Alain was a great landlord and had a very nice house. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. I chose this place even though I had an hour drive to work. I just read the review by William W. and to set the record straight, his poor review of Alain was completely unfounded. I was there for the last month that Will was there. The photos were not outdated, and the exterior of the property looks exactly as advertised. Will would close doors loudly while others were sleeping. And on at least one occasion, did laundry in the middle of the night. I never saw any harsh reprimands from Alain. Just occasional reminders to please try to be quiet while others are sleeping and to remember to take off his shoes when he comes in the house. Will is about 20ish and probably got offended easily every time Alain had to remind him. But "harsh reprimand" is definitely not accurate. Don't let the poor review by William W dissuade you from renting at this great place.

Amazing stay!

I had a great experience staying here! I felt comfortable and safe throughout my stay, the house is nice and comfortable, and the room is spacious with plenty of space to settle in. The entire home is consistently kept clean and tidy, which makes it feel welcoming, peaceful, and easy to relax after a long day. Communication with Alain, the owner, was always professional, clear and easy. He’s very accommodating, responsive, and always willing to help with anything that comes up! Overall I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, quiet and well located place in Palmdale

Horrible Landlord

This was an extremely horrible experience, and I strongly advise others to avoid staying at this property. The listing is misleading. The photos are outdated, and the exterior of the property does not reflect what is advertised. More concerning, however, is the living environment created by the landlord. Tenants are subjected to constant oversight and criticism. Basic day-to-day activities—such as cleaning, walking through the house, closing doors, doing laundry, cooking, and even water usage—are monitored and controlled. Exceeding arbitrary expectations results in harsh reprimands. There is little to no sense of autonomy or comfort. Additionally, the rental price is not stable. The landlord increases the rent frequently and without clear justification, making it difficult to rely on the agreed terms. You have no say, even though you signed a contract for one price.
