Great apartment in a fun neighborhood
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 months in the fall while commuting to Palo Alto. The location offered the perfect balance of location in a vibrant part of the city with convenient access to the freeway and public transit. The neighborhood is fun and lively, although the building itself is tucked away in a comparatively quiet corner, which also helps with parking. We (a male and female in our early 30s) never felt unsafe. Though we didn't experience any disruptive street noise, there is a loud dog in the building. A true one-bedroom, the unit is small for two people, but we made it work. The apartment includes modern amenities and comfortable furniture. Free washer/drier use in the garage is also a plus. As a host, Jason was as helpful, proactive, and responsive as he could be, though we rarely if ever had questions in need of answers or issues to be dealt with. I would definitely recommend this unit to prospective tenants and vouch for Jason's integrity as a landlord.
Great place to stay
Apartment: This was a great apartment over the 3 months I stayed there. It's a bit small, but very comfortable and has plenty of room for 1 person to live there. The appliances work great and the bed & couch are both comfortable. The only real issue was that the walls are pretty thin, so you can hear sometimes hear your neighbors and when people are playing basketball in the park behind the place (but it was rarely an issue during my sleeping hours). Area: While the place is a bit far from core SF, it's right by a few bus stops for commuting. I worked in South Bay during my stay here, so it was nice to have a shorter commute to work while still being in SF. The area always felt safe to me and I never saw any broken car windows, etc. Landlord: The landlord was great! The place didn't have a microwave when I first moved in, but he covered the cost for me to get one. He was very proactive on giving me a heads up for things like internet outages, and he was quick to reply to questions.
