Do not rent here!

The home is older and had some quirks. A sink that kept clogging, a loose doorknob, no dishwasher, wasps that kept flying into the house thru the AC vents in the floor. Regardless, we left the home very clean, communicated well, paid our rent in full and moved out 3 weeks early. Almost a month goes by, and we did not receive our refundable security deposit back. When I reached out to the landlord, we suddenly were accused of breaking a "virtually irreplaceable doorknob" which is completely false. I would never recommend anyone rent from this landlord. It's an extremely old house and if anything happens to already be broken prior to you moving in you'll be blamed.

Great Rental!!

I stayed here for 3 months, December 2024 - March 2025, escaping the Chicago winter. The cottage is perfect for 1-2 people and including work from home space. Bed was super comfy which is important / appreciated! Neighborhood sis quiet, yet neighbors are friendly. Walkable to Gainesville Square and easy access to all shopping - grocery and retail. Also near walking trails for outdoor enthusiasts. Angela, the owner, is responsive and local for any needs. I enjoyed my stay and will return!
