Convenient location but noisy

I asked if any noise from upstairs since I work night shifts and need a quiet environment to sleep. Landlord said there would be no noise. A day later, there was running noise from upstairs. Landlord hadn’t mentioned this, which made me suspect why he had to move out eventually. The running noises were directly above my room, and the ceiling didn’t feel very sturdy. At times, the lights and doors would shake. Noise could start as early as 6 am and would sometimes stop around 8–8:30 pm. I tried to pick up as many shifts as possible to avoid being there on off days, but it was consistently. He did spoke with the family but the noise would resume. I stayed because moving all my belongings would have been a lot of work, especially while freezing outside and after more than a year at the same hospital as a travel nurse, Earplugs and sound machine did not mitigated the problem. If considering this place, be aware of significant upstairs noise and potential differences from the listing.
