Welcome! Our family has lived on this property since the mid 1960's. The space is very quiet, natural, and a bit funky, like Boulder in the 70's! The Apartment is located in the back unit of a duplex, nestled at the base of the foothills. It is a cozy 2-bedroom, with views of the mountains, lots of wildlife, and a flourishing garden. My 11-year-old granddaughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ben and Marilla’s duplex close to the mountain front in a quiet Boulder residential area. An overnight snowstorm turned the garden into a play area my granddaughter enjoyed; I could watch her from the living room. The duplex includes two good-sided bedrooms, one of which views the garden. The living area is large, with the sitting area viewing the garden, a counter, then the kitchen area. My granddaughter sprawled out on the sofa with her stuffed toys; I took the comfortable easy chair and ottoman. The duplex feels like home, quiet, attractive, very comfortable; it doesn’t try to be a fancy vacation rental. The living room has a southern exposure and gets lots of mid-day sun. Restaurants, movie theaters, good shopping, Trader Joes’, Whole Foods, banks, and more are within about six minutes driving on uncrowded streets. Great place for a long stay.
