Disappointing

I rented this property during a travel work assignment and was disappointed by several issues that were not disclosed before booking. While the listing stated the home was shared, it did not disclose that the owner’s mother was living there, creating more of a family environment than professional travel housing. There was also an additional occupant living behind the house with access to the property, and the laundry area is shared with that occupant, which was not disclosed. There were frequent visitors and dogs on the property despite the listing advertising a quiet environment. As someone with dog allergies, this was especially concerning. I also found multiple large dead roaches around the home. I respectfully raised these concerns and requested a partial refund and was denied. I was told to either pay the remaining balance or vacate by noon that day. To date, no resolution has been provided. Future tenants should be given full transparency on all conditions before booking.
