Bayou front acreage with Spanish moss, live oaks, magnolias, and native landscaping. Bird watching from your porches, offering screened and unscreened options. We have deer and bald eagles. The bayou lies before you. Covered parking under the house with elevator, and three stairways lead to pastoral outdoors. A whole house generator serves both homes. Amazing stay right on Bayou Liberty
Ive had an unforgettable experience renting this place on Bayou Liberty. It's truly a gem.. 17 acres of serene beauty right on the bayou, with moss-covered oaks and wildlife. Waking up to the bayou views, spotting egrets, herons, and even an otter, made every day feel special. Yet, despite the tranquil, almost secluded feel, I was just 15 minutes from Old Town Slidell, and New Orleans was only about 40 minutes away. It's an ideal spot for reaching other nearby towns too like Bay Saint Louis and Mandeville too. But what made it exceptional was the landlords. They've been part of Slidell for ages and know it inside out. They've been supportive at every step, making me feel like renting here wasnt just a stay, but an experience. I cant recommend this placeand themenough!
Bayou Gem
Libertys Lure is such a gem! The property sits right on Bayou Liberty with huge magnolia trees and Spanish moss everywhere absolutely beautiful. It felt like stepping back in time. The owners were so kind and even took me on a pontoon boat ride around the bayou, which I'll never forget. Most mornings, I sat on the screened porch with my coffee surrounded by branches and birds it honestly felt like being in a treehouse. I also loved jogging along the quiet little road that leads to the cottage and always felt completely safe. Inside, the house is full of local art by Charlotte Collins and books about New Orleans you can tell the family really loves the history of Louisiana and the Slidell area. My only regret is not buying a piece of artwork to take home! Id definitely stay here again its a true Louisiana experience with so much heart.
Liberty's Lure
A large space with a good feel. All the rooms are large and have plenty of windows for that great natural light. During my visit the hummingbirds were everywhere.! Its a country setting on the Bayou with all of the natural sounds of birds and wind, not cars and trucks of the interstate. Feels like home.
Prior renter
My husband and I have rented this property for the past 4 years, prior to its listing on Furnished Finder. It's been one of the best 4 years of our lives. Set in a quintessential Louisiana bayou setting, replete with moss covered live oaks, views of sultry Bayou Liberty, we've enjoyed our morning coffee and our afternoon wine on the screen porch that feels like beung in a tree house. The cottage itself is over 109 years old, full of character, but with all modern amenities. Feels like an enchanted secret abode!
