Peaceful retreat
This was one of the best stays in our travel experience. Home was clean, owner was responsive and respectful. We had a dog, and they were extremely accommodating. Accommodations were excellent, our favorite part was a beautiful big yard. We lived in PDX for a while and knew the area. It was nice to have a lovely place to have friends over for dinner and enjoy the outdoors. It's at a dead end street, so we felt safe and secure. Plus it's close to the freeway access
Hidden Gem
Wonderful stay! The property is as described, well equipped with everything my husband and I needed. Yulia was responsive and flexible, providing needed extra amenities. Our dates crossed over with the previous tenant, she was kind enough to ask them for us to attempt a better move in date. We had the opposite experience as the previous tenants, Yulia communicated effectively with needed house maintenance even to go so far as scheduling around my nigh shift schedule. Our highlights were the breakfast nook, plethora of windows and lush backyard. I believe her home was more than fairly priced for the space. The immediate neighborhood felt perfectly safe, we even walked our dog daily without issue. Portland itself is just unfortunately riddled with homeless as we expected. We found the application process simple and easy with fees, deposit and contract signed. We highly recommend this home for a comfortable, well-maintained home away from home.
Difficult landlord, unsafe and stressful rental experience
This was one of the worst rental experiences we’ve had in 6 years of traveling. While the place itself looks nice, it’s not worth staying here. The landlord was disrespectful, difficult to deal with and treated us with a lack of basic courtesy and professionalism. After we paid the first month’s rent, fees, and deposits, she requested landlord references that were never mentioned before signing the lease. She later asked us to move out early without offering a refund and demanded an immediate answer, even though moving requires time and planning. If you didn’t respond right away (even when busy), she would threaten unnecessary access to the property, which felt intrusive. The neighborhood is unsafe and this was never disclosed, frequent gunshots and regular homeless activity around the trash made it uncomfortable to live there.
