Perfect location
Stayed here for about six weeks and honestly loved it. The location is unbeatable, you're right on Hawthorne so there's endless food, coffee, bars, and shops within walking distance. We barely used our car and discovered so many great spots just by walking out the front door. Parking was easy when we did need it. The apartment is adorable and has so much personality. Colorful, quirky decor that made it feel really cheerful...such a nice change from the bland beige Airbnbs everywhere. Host was awesome to work with. Always quick to respond, genuinely helpful. Very pet friendly! Only downsides are it's on the darker side, windows face north, and it's in a (very well remodeled but stilll...) basement so you'll hear some footsteps from upstairs occasionally. They provide a white noise machine and honestly it wasn't a big deal if you're used to old houses. Would absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Portland. Highly recommend.
Charming studio in the middle of everything
Stayed here for about a month and really enjoyed it. The location is honestly the best part—you're right in the middle of Hawthorne so there's food and coffee everywhere. I walked to pretty much everything. The studio is small but they've done a good job with the space. Bed was super comfortable, shower was surprisingly nice, and the kitchen had what I needed to cook basic meals (though the fridge is tiny, fair warning). Loved the colorful decor—it felt cheerful without being overwhelming. Host was great to work with. Quick responses, helpful when I had questions, no issues at all. One thing to be aware of: it's a basement unit in an old house, so you'll probably hear footsteps or water running from upstairs occasionally. Didn't bother me much and they provide a white noise machine, but if you're a light sleeper it's worth knowing. Neighborhood is really walkable and safe-feeling. Easy street parking. Would definitely stay again next time I'm in Portland.
