Rustic Lakefront Cabin in the Sonoma Wine Country

Hidden Gem in Glen Ellen

We had the pleasure of meeting Don and staying at his cabin for three months while we searched for and ultimately found a home in Sonoma. The cabin is beautifully laid out, clean, cozy, and set in lovely surroundings. It also has a fully fenced backyard where we and our dogs loved relaxing and watching the trees and squirrels. The neighbors are a real highlight. Walking our dogs several times a day, we quickly got to know many of them. The neighborhood is very safe and tucked into a peaceful pocket of the woods with Sonoma Creek running through it. With narrow roads and few streetlights, evenings are wonderfully dark and quiet. One night a neighbor set up a telescope and invited everyone to stargaze, and others welcomed us for drinks or dinner. Glen Ellen has excellent nearby restaurants, including Michelin-recognized spots, and a great local grocery store with fantastic deli sandwiches.
