Very misleading

Booked without viewing, my mistake. While the interior was nicely decorated, the shower was not clean and the area felt unsafe. As a travel healthcare worker, I would not recommend this property. The host listed it at $2000, dropped to $1800, and asked me to book through Airbnb, promising to refund the overagewhich never happened. I was told laundry was private, but its shared with multiple tenants in a multi-family home, which wasnt disclosed. The unit is on the first floor and very noisy due to loud stomping and kids running above. I left after one night due to a contract change. The host first agreed to a refund, then retracted it when I couldnt provide written proof, even though I offered to connect him with my recruiter. I didnt mention hearing gunshots that night because I was leaving anyway. He also updated the listing after I left to say laundry is shared. And if your wife is truly a traveler, shed know housing stipends dont come through until the job actually starts.
