Noisy neighbors

Pros: The landlord, Jim, was very responsive and kind. The house was in a safe, quiet neighborhood and was close to everything. There was plenty of room and storage in the house. Cons: The long term upstairs tenants were some of the most unpleasant neighbors we've ever had. They have a young child who was frequently up until 12-2am, running around and crying. To make matters worse, the couple upstairs frequently would be screaming at each other or the child at the same time. The floors were very thin and we could hear almost everything they were saying. This happened about 4-6 nights a week. We got very little sleep while staying here due to the noise and the uncomfortable beds (had to buy a mattress topper). Unfortunately, a noise complaint to Jim made no difference. We know Jim has no control over their actions or behavior. I hate to leave a less than positive review, but I wish I had this information prior to staying there, as it would've changed my decision to rent this unit.
