Cockroach infestation

There was a cockroach infestation inside of the home and I was told that the perimeter of the house would be sprayed to resolve the issue. I paid rent in advance for the month of May and left due to an inhabitable living space. I was refused a refund!

She was refused a refund because she lived in the home from Feb - April 19 and asked repeatedly to extend her stay on 2/19 when she arrived and on 3/21/26 when she was allegedly hired permanently. Her stay was thru 5/11. She paid May's prorated rent on 4/16/26. During this time, she never mentioned a bug at all. She constantly was asking to negotiate a lower amount. I refused and was waiting for her to leave on 5/11. She said she saw a bug on 4/19 and this is the "infestation" she speaks of. I spoke with her boyfriend on 4/19 who also spent nights there and he denied seeing any bugs. She left the home in deplorable conditions. Her bath soap/bath wash in shower's niche, uncleaned shower, food smashed in the rug, stains on LVP flooring and trash can full of trash that she did not take to the road. We have had many guest who stayed and extended their stay. She is the only one who saw a bug after living there two months and asking to extend her stay. Maybe she brought bugs in from the many houses she spent the night at while living here. For us, we have cleaned the house and moved on expecting our next guest. It's sad that Ms, Jullian is upset about her refund and not taking responsibility for her living conditions/standards.
