House in Portland, Oregon
Landlord Tenure: 4 years, 2 months
I've strived to create a haven from the rush of city life. Prescott is transit street, so the tiny home's entrance is in the middle of the lot facing the garden. The view through the double glass doors and from the raised deck is an ever changing array of flowers, fruits, and vegetables.
Other buildings on the property include A (very) small studio, a small office, our long-term tenant's home and my home at the very bac...
The space is ideal for a solo traveler or a close couple. The folks who built the tiny home envisioned a merging of a caravan and a sailboat. It's airy, bright and warm with a touch of whimsey. Like a sailboat, it's basically a long wooden room. The French doors and ample deck extend the living space outdoors with a balance between privacy and open view. The Cully neighborhood is one of the most diverse in Portland. Dozens of restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance. The 75 bus stops at the corner of Prescott and 42nd. Going Street (one block north) is a bicycle corridor. The nearby Alberta Arts District is a pleasant bike ride or walk away.
Whats not to love?
Dawn and Eric's tiny house was a pleasure to stay in. Every step of the way they were nothing but extremely kind, professional, welcoming, accommodating, and great at communication. The tiny house itself was very comfortable and is a great place to lay your head at night. It has all the amenities you'll need so you only need to bring yourself. The neighborhood is in a great location. Short walks from amazing food, bars, and stores. Its a short drive to downtown, movie theaters, music venues, shopping districts, green spaces & parks and all the attractions the city has to offer. The neighborhood feels very safe, theres plenty of parking and overall just great vibes. I also loved the walking by the roses they have planted everyday when I returned to the tiny house. I highly recommend a stay with these lovely people!
Great, peaceful, private
I stayed at Dawn and Eric's place for 1 month and really enjoyed it! I found it nice and tucked away, giving a private feel and had pretty easy walking access to a number of restaurants, grocery stores, and even acupuncture. Everyone on property when I occasionally ran into them was super friendly and accommodating - I would recommend staying here!
My Favorite Rental, Period!
This tinyhome was an amazing stay for me. It had all the space I needed to feel comfortable while remaining compact and practical! The hot water was nearly instant and lasted long enough to enjoy a relaxing shower. Tons of storage space that helped me feel settled and not living out of a suitcase. The kitchenette was a working space with plenty of countertop area and all the tools needed to cook for myself if needed. I slept comfortbaly on the couch bed, and the space heater kept the whole space comfortable and insulated on the coldest and wettest days nights! Dawn and Eric were absolutely the most welcoming and inclusive hosts. I was included in holiday invitations and they were very responsive if ever I needed to speak with them. The property was always clean and quiet and I would go back any time if the need arose! This listing is a gem!!
