Hyde Park is Boston's southernmost neighborhood, known for its residential vibe and mix of city and suburban energy. It's a quieter part of the city with lots of green space nearby, like the Stony Brook Reservation and Neponset River trails. Public transit options make commuting into downtown Boston manageable, and local shops and restaurants give it a down-to-earth, community feel. It's a solid spot if you're looking for more s...
It was Okay.
Upon move in, I saw key things werent said in the listing. No access to the full-size fridge shown in vid tour made meal prep & storing food hard. Even if ur not a cook, some ppl rely on frozen food, & a mini fridge isnt enough for monthly stays. This isnt a 4-day hotel. After move-in, I learned I couldnt have guests & there were cams inside, incl 1 by bedrm door. Landlord monitored them, often showing up after I did smtn, like when I went to cook: She came & told me to leave so she can cook even tho I was there 1st. It felt unfair, esp since Im a paying tenant, not a guest. Her timing proved she was watching, so I felt no privacy. My rm was also much hotter than the rest of the house, & learned I wasnt allowed to change the temp, so I just dealt w/ it + other situations, but I digress. She seemed nice at 1st but the constant cams, nitpicking & lack of consideration made it uncomfy. Home is clean & pretty + I did appreciate her flexibility. Hope future renters have a better exp.
