Poorly Equipped Rental & Deposit Issues

Very disappointing experience. I paid a $300 refundable deposit and only received $50 back. The landlord claimed deductions for cleaning, towels, and outdoor furniture. The outdoor furniture was not damaged; it only had wet paper/cardboard residue on it after items were exposed to rain, and the residue was removable and could be wiped off. One towel was damaged in the dryer, and I had already replaced another towel during my stay. I also provided move-out photos showing the apartment was left reasonably clean. Withholding $250 for these issues was not fair or reasonable. I also would not recommend this rental for traveling healthcare professionals or other short-term travelers. There were no pots, pans, or basic cookware provided, only a few utensils, so I had to consider buying cooking supplies for a short stay. Between the lack of basic kitchen essentials and the way my deposit was handled, I would not rent from this landlord again. Travelers should document everything before move-in
