Originally constructed in the 1890s, and added to in the 1920s, the house sits above the road on a bluff overlooking the water. Most folks enjoy drinking their morning coffee in the rocking chairs on the front porch while watching the water go by. The house is nestled into the hillside on six acres with a babbling brook to one side and the larger creek to the front. The land next to the water belongs to the cottage as well.
Space
The house works best as a couples getaway with a king bed. But, there is also a pull-out couch bed that sleeps two and a daybed. (5 total) The upstairs bedroom includes a large master bath with a jacuzzi tub, as well as a full bathroom downstairs with a shower. One thing to note. This is a quirky old cabin, with low ceilings and steep wonky stairs. This not a good choice for people with balance issues, bad knees, or over 6'6" ...
