Maine's Memories at The Bears Den

Hello! To anyone reading reviews about this gorgeous property, just book your stay! I am a traveling medical tech and this stay made my Maine experience so much more memorable. It was a wonderful stay and I continuously share pictures with my friends and family about my experience at the Bears Den. Brady was a wonderful host and made sure I had everything I needed. I had the pleasure of staying throughout the winter into spring/summer. My pup Duke was also a huge fan of the scenery. Hope the future guests enjoy this beautiful family home just as much as I did!

Iconic Maine Stay

We were traveling up last fall to stay for an extended period of time to see Maine was somewhere we would want to move our family permanently, long story short we decided yes! This house was a beautiful intro to Maine. We were captured with the beautiful views outside the windows of this home and being cozy by the fire and enjoying the many games and puzzles provided. My boys loved running around in the tennis court. Beds are comfortable and it was easy to feel like home here. Access to beautiful hiking trails and the town of Blue Hill. Brady is kind and super responsive, he was very flexible with us as our plans changed last minute. We would definitely recommend staying here.

An exceptional place

As a travel nurse, I loved this home so much, that I came back two winters in a row! The serenity of the property is hard to describe. The lake view is stunning, as was every sunset. Den is the perfect word to describe the hillside home. The only neighbors we saw were squirrels and a beautiful fox. The solitude was refreshing and restful. As for the home, it is grandiose, comfortable and had everything we could ever need. The views out every window connected us to nature. The hosts, Brady and his family, were welcoming, responsive, and kind to us throughout our stay. They had a gift basket waiting for our family upon arrival to the home. Brady was available if we had questions and it truly was a pleasure communicating with him. This place is simply special. It became the backdrop to a lot memories. It was hard to leave! The stewardship of this timeless property, by the many generations of family that have cared for it, is palpable. Exceptional. 10/10. I truly cannot recommend enough.
