Charming, One-of-a-Kind Retreat in Oakland - Utilities Included

Best Host

Staying at the sanctuary was definitely a highlight of my summer and truly one of the best experiences I've had with a long term rental! Ted is super accommodating and very respectful of boundaries! I would recommend this to all of my friends and will be back to stay again someday.

Better Suited for Short Term Stays

I would not recommend this property for long-term tenancy. During my stay, there were instances of unit access and communication dynamics that did not feel professionally bounded or sufficiently respectful of privacy, which ultimately made the living situation stressful for me as a tenant at times. While the landlords were kind and responsive in some respects, the overall level of involvement and communication at times became mentally taxing and made it difficult to fully relax in the space. Future tenants, particularly long-term renters, may want to clarify expectations around privacy, communication, and unit access in advance.
