This cozy studio is in the lower half of a Kensington house in the desirable Colusa Circle neighborhood. The light-filled apartment perched on a hillside above the street level, gives occupants the feeling of living "in the treetops." A half-acre of front yard provides the house with privacy and tranquility. The efficiency apartment is most suitable for a single person. A true nature escape in the heart of Berkeley
This spot is a secret gem! The apartment is tucked away in a hollow of trees and has equal parts outdoor space and indoor space. I loved watching the constant flow of deer and turkey! The apartment is fully furnished and has everything you need, including laundry on site. It is located in a very cute neighborhood where there is a farmers' market every Sunday. Walk five minutes down the road and you will find a roundabout with coffee shops, a wood-fired pizza restaurant, a local pub, and a grocery store. It is a 15-20-minute walk to Bart ( public metro into the city) and a one-mile walk to Solano ( a street filled with restaurant options) and very close to a large regional park!
Loved this place!
I felt relaxed just walking onto the property with its front yard of oak and a giant redwood. The patio is perfect for sunny morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Wild turkeys and deer that wander through the property are my most visible neighbors. This outdoor space is a bonus of the apartment! The inside is cozy and light filled. There is a well-designed use of space with a full kitchen, sitting area, and queen-sized bed. Stove, oven, microwave, sink, and dishwasher have been cleverly fitted into an efficient kitchen that is distinct from, yet connected to, the sitting area. The bed of this efficiency is tucked into a nook that gives privacy from the rest of the apartment. High speed interned and onsite laundry facilities are a huge plus. The owner is very personable, knowledgeable about the area, and quick to respond with questions or concerns. If I were staying longer in the area, I would definitely renew my lease!
