What makes this space unique is how comfortable and private it feels. You'll have a large bedroom with plenty of room to spread out, and you'll only be sharing a bathroom and living room with one other person who is rarely home. The house is split into two sides, so you can enjoy your space without feeling crowded while still having access to all the shared amenities.
The home is in a residential area of Encanto that feels relaxed and easy to get around. Daily essentials like grocery stores, restaurants, and small shops are just a short drive away. Public transit is within walking distance, which makes commuting more convenient. Local parks and schools are nearby, giving the area a balanced mix of community and accessibility.
The most restorative stay!
I felt like I uncovered a hidden gem in San Diego once I rented this room! The property is on an 1.5~ acre with the most tranquil backyard. Perfect for unwinding after a long shift. The space inside is tastefully decorated, spacious, and well-maintained. And the family who rents the room are such kind, easygoing people. They are happy to give you your space and welcome you in, all the same. Completely warm and respectful of the tenants and their space. If I ever come back to San Diego, I would rent from Rachel again. 10/10 recommend!
Serene Hilltop Sanctuary
I would have loved to stay here longer and will miss the people that made this place feel like home for me. The sweet family that brought back the feeling of my old neighborhood and were a pleasure to witness relating to each other with such affection and closeness. My flatmate, the farm animals, the squirrels. I loved picking ripe citrus fruits right off their trees, the scent of jasmine in the air as I gazed at the wide panorama of greenery that filled the ravine. I even loved walking through the hills of the surrounding neighborhood to access the trolley line. I felt safe after dark as a woman and could conveniently pick up necessities from the nearby market and CSA, Project New Village. My room was comfortably furnished and well-lit with natural sunlight but somehow it stayed cool enough. I would definitely love to return here and pick up where I left off building a sense of community and having a connection to Nature.
