Security Deposit Not Returned as Agreed
My stay at the property itself was fine, but I would not recommend this rental due to the handling of the security deposit. I moved out on March 11. Per the lease agreement and the landlord’s written communication, the deposit was to be returned seven days post move-out. On March 13, she confirmed that she had inspected the property and that everything looked good. Despite this, the deposit was not returned within the agreed timeframe. After about 2.5 weeks with no update, I reached out and received no response. Around three weeks after move-out, I followed up again and was told the payment would be sent on Friday, April 3. The deposit was not sent as stated. I followed up again on April 4 and April 6 and did not receive any response. Clear expectations regarding the deposit were established in advance but were not honored in practice. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property.
