Apartment in Phoenix, Arizona
Landlord Tenure: 8 months
This is a very comfortable apartment in a quiet neighborhood in central Phoenix. The house contains only two units, so it has all the advantages of living in a private house in a very desirable neighborhood at a more affordable cost. The owner is a dog lover so welcomes friendly, small to medium sized dogs. The outdoor space allows a a great place to enjoy the great weather (all the year except Summer) and entertain friends.
The apartment is the back half of the house, sharing a common wall. Its bright and very comfortable, looking out onto the nicely landscaped back yard, that is shared but very quiet. There is a separate, private side yard that is decently sized but sparsely landscaped. The furnishings are eclectic but tasteful and fit the space nicely. Theres nice artwork, plenty of lighting, a good sized bathroom, a large bedroom and an efficien...
Potential Tenant
Michael is a very nice guy, but very flighty and inconsistent. I had other rental options, but I thought his little place was cute, so I decided to give it a chance. After weeks of talking about his property, him showing me another property of his, talking about pricing and availability, and in the process of actually drawing up a lease, he told me he decided not to rent to me, (for no apparent reason). He showed preference for me over other potential tenants, strung me along, and wasted a ton of my time! He changed prices of rent, deposits, and availability multiple times, then got frustrated with me when I brought his inconsistency to his attention. I was very nervous about renting to him, as he seemed desperate to rent the property to me. Although it was a huge waste of my time, it was probably a blessing in disguise to not end up signing a lease with him. Be cautious, and pay attention to detail with him!
