Good Apartment, Questionable Rental Practices

I rented this 1 bed / 1 bath unit for $2,300/month. The location is great, with a nice neighborhood, easy parking, and a comfortable living space. Unfortunately, my experience with the landlord was inconsistent. When I asked about extending my stay by two months, I was told rent would increase to $3,300 due to it being “summer time.” I offered a $400 increase, which was denied, so I made plans to move out. A week before my move out date, the landlord reversed course, first offering the $400 increase, then offering to keep my original rate, but by then I had already secured another place. For a furnished rental, basic cleaning supplies like a broom and mop were also not provided, so I had to buy my own during my three month stay. Overall, the unit and location are solid, but the landlord’s inconsistent pricing practices were a major downside.
