This is the second time I stayed in this amazing cottage. Allen and Laurie are awesome. They are very attentive when something needs attention (which wasn’t much). The place is very comfortable and user friendly. The design was well thought out. The location is superb! It is in the nucleus of Britt, downtown, hiking and mountain bike trails. The neighbors are all very nice. Great community! Thank you Allen and Laurie for all the hospitality and letting me stay in this special place.
Landlord Using Tenant Utilities
We rented thinking long term and had to leave after five months. On our lease we had $100. per month credit for water/sewer and $100. credit for electricity. Our water/ sewer bill was never over $60. but landlord used the $100, to pay her entire City of Jacksonville bill which included Public Service (police, fire ,parks) plus she would bill us for any overages on that bill ($18. to $40. plus per month) Nondisclosure, not in our lease to pay City of Jacksonville Public Service fee's. Our dwelling had two heat pumps and one elec meter. Landlord used our electricity to charge her truck and heat her two car garage she used as storage. Our monthly bill was $145, to $175, per month. The overage was $45 to $75. per month There was no way to separate landlord/tenant use, and we were charged monthly for any overages on bill. Landlord wanted new lease every six months so she could raise the rent.
