Enjoy living in a safe, quiet historic Detroit neighborhood. There are great shops and restaurants nearby on Livernois, known as the Avenue of Fashion. The Detroit's oldest jazz bar, Baker's Lounge is also down the road. Palmer Park is around the corner. Palmer Park is a huge park with wooded walking paths and a fenced in dog park. We are 2 miles south of downtown Ferndale which has plenty of live music and restaurants.

We have a large 4000 sq ft home with 6 bedrooms and several shared spaces. Your space would include a bedroom, dresser/closet and an attached room with a couch and smart TV and its own mini-split heat/AC unit. You also have your own private bathroom. Shared spaces include kitchen, dining room, breakfast nook, living room, sunroom and basement.

The University District is a historic neighborhood flanked by beautiful Palmer Park and walkable Livernois Avenue of Fashion. We are also 2 miles south of downtown Ferndale, a fun and lively city. This neighborhood is full of towering old trees, beautiful homes and friendly neighbors.

Fantastic House!
Amazing stay! The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Colin and Kirk were very friendly, responsive, and made me feel very welcome and safe as a young adult staying by herself in a different state for 3 months. It truly felt like a home away from home. Carmy, their dog, became my best friend while I was staying here. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Cozy Room with Tv room
I stayed here for a month. The neighborhood is lined with beautiful trees and manicured lawns. The house was very clean, cozy and I actually slept very well here considering my past experiences. The owners are very nice and understanding. Kirk bakes fresh bread and was caring enough to offer me some, which I thought was very thoughtful . Who doesn’t like fresh baked bread . The room and bathroom were perfect size. Lastly, I will miss Carly. She’s friendly and such a sweet girl. This is definitely a place for the health care traveler. Safe and quiet.
