Attractive Condo, Disappointing Rental Experience

The condo has been nicely remodeled, and most finishes are appropriate for a furnished rental. The mattress, however, is very lumpy and should be replaced. As a travel nurse who has rented many furnished properties, this was the most difficult landlord communication Ive experienced. I tried to be cooperative, but maintenance requests and payment discussions often felt unnecessarily contentious. Clarify all payment expectations in writing before signing. During my stay, payment processing fees became a dispute even though they were not addressed in the lease. I was also asked to pay through PayPal Friends & Family, which my bank advised against for a business transaction. The condo interior is much nicer than the building. Common areas were dated, with worn carpeting, dirty walls, poor lighting, and frequent litter and broken glass outside. Overall, the condo has potential, but the communication significantly impacted my stay.
