A highly problematic and unsafe rental experience
Our month stay with Donna was unsafe, and cut short by unreasonable demands. Because our routine involved being up late, the downstairs neighbor constantly complained about creaking floorboards, eventually threatening to move out. In response, Donna gave us a sudden, incredibly short one-week notice to vacate. The property had severe safety issues. The bed was improperly rigged and supported only by six tiny metal shelf brackets; it predictably collapsed on us while we were sleeping. Though temporarily patched, it remains dangerous. Furthermore, we documented completely exposed lead paint in multiple areas upon move-in. Regarding pets, we briefly had a dog but immediately returned it once we realized it was an issue. Donna later made highly exaggerated claims about pet hair and urine. Given the rushed one-week notice, removing every strand of hair was practically impossible. Worst of all, Donnas first approach to the noise issue wasn't a calm conversation it was screaming in our faces.
