I stayed at Stafford and Kate's apartment as a place to land while I got settled back in Portland after a couple years away. It was just what I needed to give me the time and space to get my affairs in order and find work before moving on to a more permanent home. The location is great. Walkable to all the shops and restaurants on 28th Ave. and just a couple blocks from Laurelhurst Park, one of my favorite spots in town. Also not too far from Belmont and Hawthorne. I was always able to park my car directly in front of the house at any time. Stafford and Kate are great hosts, and very accommodating. They give you your privacy, but are available if you need anything. I moved in during a hot spell in the summer, and they thought to order a fan to help keep the apartment cool. I'm all settled back in Portland now, and I'll always be grateful for the opportunity to stay here during that transition.
