Pest Infestation

I am an emergency resident physician who was looking for a 1-month rental while I work. I paid rent and deposit ahead of my stay. On the second night of my stay, I discovered a cluster fly infestation along with the odor of a dead carcass in the laundry room. I notified Alicia and bought a vacuum/traps but they kept coming. Alicia called pest control, who informed me there were dead rats in the attic and that this was a known problem because they saw existing traps in the attic. They proceeded to spray insecticide throughout the property while my belongings were still there. Due to the toxic nature of pesticides on ongoing infestation, I vacated the property immediately. I even offered to pay Alicia pay for the three nights of this nightmare stay. However, she decided to ghost me and keep half the month's rent, along with my full security deposit. As a physician, I recommend staying away from this property and landlord in the interest of your physical and mental health.
