I had a disappointing experience with this landlord. Communication was consistently poor and often accusatory. The room was advertised with light-blocking blinds, which were not present. I requested blackout blinds and was told they would be provided, but they never were. There were also issues with the internet and excessive heat in my flatmate's room that required repeated communication to address. He once criticized me for not speaking to him while he was at the property painting, although I had never met him, did not know who he was, and he never approached or introduced himself. Communication goes both ways. After I gave notice that I would not renew after the first month, I had to repeatedly follow up to get my security deposit back.
