Disappointing Experience

Our plan was to stay at the apartment from 5/26/2026 to 07/31/2026. We decided to bail out early due to the substandard physical conditions of the apartment. Specifics are as follows: 1) toilet that continuously ran; 2) Inability to turn off the water in the shower / tub without applying extreme torque and strength to the handle. My wife is not physically strong enough to turn off the water to the shower / bath tub. 3) kitchen vent completely filthy 4) High probability of black mold around the perimeter of the front door. I used a black mold detection kit and it registered positive for mold. The property owner said the black substance around the perimeter of the front door is soot from the ventilation system. Either way (soot or black mold) this is clearly unhygienic. In fairness to the owner he has contacted the building’s maintenance team to try to remediate the above problems. There has been no remediation. Very disappointing experience.
