Visit with Family
I had such a wonderful experience staying at the Plant and Book House. From the moment I arrived, it truly felt like a home away from home. The space is thoughtfully designed with a cozy, welcoming vibe that makes it easy to relax and settle in. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and clearly cared for--from the comfortable furnishings to the little touches that made daily living easy and enjoyable. One of my favorite parts of the stay was the front porch—it was incredibly inviting and a great spot to enjoy your morning coffee. The atmosphere throughout the home is warm and relaxing, and I found myself genuinely looking forward to coming back each day. It’s clear the host has put a lot of thought into creating a comfortable and stress-free environment for guests. I would absolutely recommend the Plant and Book House to anyone looking for a charming, welcoming place to stay. I would happily return!
Reunion visit
I stayed at the Plant and Book House in March. It is a delightful house with wonderful southern charm including a large screened front porch-a great place to read or just enjoy the flowers and good company. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was well equipped for those who like the choice to eat in or just to have that first cup of coffee on the front porch. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and centrally located within walking distance to local restaurants. I look forward to staying there again.
Healing oasis in Durham
I stayed here for two weeks during a family members illness. It was the perfect spot. From the moment I stepped onto the porch at the Plant House, I felt myself unwind. The house has a really peaceful vibe. Both the front and backyard have lots of trees. The house is cozy and clean, with freshly painted walls giving it a nice crisp feeling. The bedroom gets beautiful morning light while the back bedroom is a cozy place to read all the fun throwback novels on the bookshelf. The kitchen is super functional with both a microwave and toaster oven and plenty of dishes and glasses. And having a clawfoot tub was such a plus. The natural lighting in the bathroom created the perfect ambiance for a relaxing soak. The location is very safe feeling and I took daily walks around the neighborhood and to Northgate Park. It’s also convenient to get to the highway or downtown. I loved coming home to the Plant House every day and look forward to staying the next time I visit.
