Travel Nurse Experience: Would Avoid. Especially Solo Female Travelers

Property not as pictured. Photos are outdated. Despite paying a cleaning fee, property was not thoroughly cleaned. Bugs and spiders in the home. Owner had an exterminator come out, but I was told they were bound to come in because of the area and open gaps in the house. I then found a scorpion. No alternative solution was offered which is what made me end lease early. No smoke alarms. Owner said it's the tenant's responsibility to bring this to their attention, which made me question how thoroughly the property was checked for safety. Police sirens were common. I intended to complete full lease, but left early because of the ongoing pest and safety concerns. Moving mid-contract was a huge inconvenience. Security deposit was never returned, despite leaving the property in good condition, and I was still expected to pay an early leave fee. Felt pressured into signing 3 months, wish I only did 1 if that. There are better options closer to the hospitals. Avoid this one at all costs.
