Withheld My Deposit Based on Undisclosed Rules

I would not recommend renting from this host. I stayed for 10 weeks, left the property clean, and treated it with respect. The biggest issue was my security deposit. I was never given or asked to sign a lease or any written house rules during my stay. Only after I had already checked out was I told I had supposedly broken rules that had never been provided to me, and those claims were used to keep a large portion of my security deposit. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the matter, they refused to return the remaining deposit. Be extremely cautious if you value transparency and expect your security deposit to be handled fairly.
