Perfect Base for Exploring SE Alaska

We rented Bernard's home in Juneau because it's a great base for exploring Southeast Alaska at our own pace. Bernard's home easily slept the three of us and could have slept a fourth without anyone having to share a bed. The house was spotlessly clean and in perfect order. The kitchen was modern and well-equipped, stocked with cooking oil, spices & condiments, coffee, sugar, etc. Bernard also made sure there was enough food on hand so that we did not have to immediately run out to the grocery store. The house contained just about everything a visitor might need, from batteries to bear spray to bathroom supplies, all neatly organized. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of clean, fluffy towels and comfortable linens, plus a washer/dryer. I can't say enough good things about our host. He was exceptionally helpful, kind, and responsive. He responded immediately whenever we texted him, but since he was working at a remote site, we felt like we had the place to ourselves.
